2022 Abu Dhabi Young Musician Competition Calling all BIS Abu Dhabi musicians... the inaugural Abu Dhabi Young Musician (ADYM) Competition has launched! Calling all BIS Abu Dhabi musicians... the inaugural Abu Dhabi Young Musician (ADYM) Competition has launched!

The Abu Dhabi Young Musician competition has been designed by Music teachers across Abu Dhabi, to create a week-long festival of Music.   

The ADYM Competition is designed to promote student engagement in music and to provide the opportunity for students from across Abu Dhabi to come together to showcase their talents.

The competition is open to musicians of school age who are in full-time education within Abu Dhabi.

The competition is split into two classes:

  1. Intermediate for performers of Grade 5-6 standard
  2. Advanced for performers at Grade 7 level and beyond (if you have taken Grade 6 before April 2021, you must enter the Advanced class)

There will be seven different categories:

  • Piano 
  • Classical/Acoustic Guitar 
  • Brass 
  • Strings 
  • Woodwind 
  • Singing 
  • Rock n Pop (singers, guitarists and just announced for drums)

Deadline

The deadline to enter the competition is Monday, 15th November 2021.

Judging

The competition will be judged by a panel of esteemed musicians from across the globe who, during breaks in the competition, will also provide some valuable CPD training to teachers and students alike.
