It was lovely to greet the students as they returned on Wednesday in new uniforms, with smiles on their faces and they all seem to have settled well.

Australia, Bratislava, California, Dubai...an alphabet of places rolled off the tongues of our returning students, as they told us stories about their summer holidays and home countries, but there was a common theme- our BIS Hanoi community are delighted to be home in beautiful Vietnam.

Ha Quoc Huy, a Year 13 student at BIS Hanoi, is one of two Vietnamese students who received an offer from the renowned Columbia University in New York City. He’s happy to share his successful university application experience to one of the most prestigious Ivy League universities.

The International Award is open to all young people from the ages of 14-24, and is a non-competitive, non-formal education programme specialising in leadership training.

Educating students about our role in creating a more sustainable future through making simple actions become habits has been our goal - together, our simple actions can make a big difference! Students thought about promises they could make to themselves in order to help protect the environment and recorded these on recyclable leaves.

The British International School Hanoi garden is a wonderful environmental education tool, helping our students to reconnect with the natural world and understand the true source of food, highlighting healthy eating and improving nutrition.

Competitive sport has gone from strength to strength at British International School Hanoi over the course of this year. We participated in local and international events, and the school is a full member of the Hanoi Activities Conference and the Federation of British International Schools in Asia.

We had a fun evening on Tuesday, when over 50 Year 8 parents attended lessons at British International School Hanoi. The Teach Your Parent event was organised by Mrs Wild (Head of Key Stage 3) with the support of the year 8 teachers but the real stars were the children and their parents

As a staff here at British International School Hanoi, we wish all of the students who are preparing to take their external exams, the very best of luck, and that they are rewarded for the effort that they have put into their studies.
