Welcome back to school! Welcome to our first digital BIS Hanoi newsletter of the new academic year 2021/2022. I am very pleased to be here in Hanoi, taking on the responsibility of leading the school community in the next phase of its journey

Dear Parents,

Welcome to our first digital BIS Hanoi newsletter of the new academic year 2021/2022. I am very pleased to be here in Hanoi, taking on the responsibility of leading the school community in the next phase of its journey.

I have already had the pleasure of meeting a small number of you online and look forward to more opportunities to connect with you all in due course. In the meantime, I would like to invite you to watch my short video introduction.

This year, we are pleased to welcome around thirty new teachers who join our academic Primary and Secondary teams and we also have over 150 new students joining us from various parts of the world. During the summer, we had several new developments and changes take place on our campus, more of which I will share with everyone in upcoming time.

We are now set up and running with our Virtual Schools Experience across all age groups. Can I remind you that we have our Virtual School Experience Hub where all information and resources about our online provision are located. Do take time to look through and see how you can partner with us in supporting your child’s education over the coming weeks.

We are uncertain how long the social distancing requirements will be in place, but we remain set and ready to manage the various scenarios that we might face over the coming months. We do of course hope that it won’t be too long before we can welcome our students back to campus once again.

Please take time to read over this week’s newsletter which covers a range of topics and updates in both Primary and Secondary.

I wish you all well for the new school year. Have a good weekend.

Kind regards,

Richard Vaughan
