Dear Parents,
📢 Admissions Open for January 2025 - Schedule your visit today!
Dear Parents,
I hope this message finds you in high spirits! It certainly was a spooktacular start to the week, with scary-looking characters filling the corridors of our primary school during the Halloween Trick-or-Treat event organised by our wonderful parent community.
Dressed in incredible costumes, there were zombies, witches, lots of scary characters, and even a frog running up and down the corridors on Monday morning. The atmosphere around the school was fun, and our students, who also looked amazing in their costumes, enjoyed receiving lots of treats. There was a great sense of community, making this Halloween celebration truly unforgettable. A huge thank you to everyone who donated sweets, helped with Halloween dress-ups, or trick-or treating – this event is already on the calendar for next year!
Our Friends of BIS were back together on Thursday afternoon, planning the next events for our community, so please keep your eyes peeled for upcoming dates.
On Tuesday afternoon, it was wonderful to welcome parents into school for a Parent Connect with a focus on English as an Additional Language (EAL) in the primary school. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the parents who joined us for this enriching event for their continued support.
Strengthening the home-school partnership, Ms. Cabanne and Ms. Berkeley, our EAL Leader, shared an overview of our EAL provision and how the timetable works across the primary school. They also shared the challenges of learning an additional language and the journey children go through when acquiring a new language.
Next week, we are looking forward to coffee mornings for Year 3+4 on Tuesday at 8:45 with Ms. Colclough, followed by Year 1+2 coffee mornings on Friday, October 10th, with Ms. Cranmer. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.
I wish you all a wonderful weekend.
