Last week, our BIS Hanoi Lionhearts proudly represented the school at the FOBISIA Games — and what an incredible journey it was! Over four days of competition, our students showcased not only skill and determination, but also the teamwork, spirit, and pride that define what it means to be a Lionheart.

Day 1 – Swimming

Following a brief delay due to thunder and lightning, our swimmers hit the pool with energy and enthusiasm. Competing against high-calibre athletes from across Asia, every Lionheart rose to the occasion. While we narrowly missed out on podium finishes, our swimmers achieved numerous personal bests and showed exceptional sportsmanship throughout. Notable 4th place finishes came from Hai Nam (25m Freestyle), Jiwoo (50m Backstroke), Truong Giang and Dohoon (25m Butterfly), and Jono, who placed 4th in three separate events!

Day 2 – Tee-ball & Relay

Tee-ball offered a fun change of pace as students were mixed into four balanced teams for a full morning of friendly, fast-paced competition. They played with great enthusiasm, improving with every game and finishing with powerful hits, home runs, and proud smiles. After lunch, it was back to the pool for medleys, freestyle relays, and the fan-favourite tyre relay. The atmosphere was electric as students cheered each other on, reinforcing the strong sense of camaraderie.

Final Day – Football & Farewells

The last day brought exciting football action. The Girls A and B teams both finished with hard-fought 1-0 victories in their playoff matches — a perfect ending to their campaign. The boys showed grit and flair throughout, with standout performances including Minh Duc’s spectacular free-kick and strong team efforts against JIS, GIS, and ISP.

The week ended with a joyful closing ceremony and disco, celebrating friendships, growth, and unforgettable memories. We are incredibly proud of every Lionheart who competed. Their resilience, respect, and unity throughout the week were a credit to our school community.
