Every year BIS HCMC takes students from across several year groups, in Primary and Secondary to the FOBISIA Friendly Games, held near Pattaya in Thailand. This provides our young athletes with the opportunity to compete at a high level against other British International Schools across Asia in athletics, basketball, football, swimming and T-ball as well as form global friendships with their peers throughout the region.

The U15 FOBISIA Team returned from Thailand on Sunday after a superb competition. Competing against other British international schools in Asia, across Athletics, Swimming, Basketball and Football, the team came back with over 50 medals and invaluable memories together as a team!

Our dedicated athletes, in our basketball, cross country, football, swimming, table tennis and volleyball teams, have started their 2023-24 season with some outstanding performances against teams across HCMC. With training in full swing, and many competitive fixtures under their belts, our students are certainly committed to the countless hours of training and showing true teamwork skills and sportsmanship. Our PE department share some of the highlights of the season so far.

Our U13 sports squad took part in the first FOBISIA Games in 4 years, from Wednesday 15th to Sunday 19th March at the world-class Patana Sports Complex, near Pattaya in Thailand. Our team of 28 students aged 11-13 competed against 6 other schools from the FOBISIA network, in swimming, athletics, basketball and football, in what is one of the most competitive International Sports Tournaments in Asia.
