On Saturday 10th September, BIS proudly hosted the 6th Annual ABRSM High Scorers’ Concert in the auditorium. This concert serves as a showcase for the top performing students from the June practical instrumental exam session.
The top 30 scoring students were invited to perform their favourite piece from their recent exam in an informal concert setting.
Our largest ever ABRSM HSC crowd were treated to a series of fine performances on instruments including piano, violin, cello, flute and voice. Pieces ranged from grade 1 right the way through to grade 8, the highest regular exam level, and also an ABRSM diploma student.
We heard excellent performances from AP2 students Proud Suntipong, Man Nghi Trinh, Chae Won Oh, Joyce Chou, Lucy Ngo and Annie Joshi.
Students commented on the event:
"Young talented musicians gathering together to play their favourite pieces- the ABRSM High Scorers Concert. Personally, the High Scorers Concert was a great experience and moment for me, being able to share our musical talents with one another. As a flautist myself, it was a great opportunity for me to develop my performing skills and I've enjoyed the musical atmosphere as well. Throughout the concert, the audience were introduced to several instruments ranging from the piano to the cello, flute, violin and even the voice.
In all, it was a wonderful evening of music, congratulations and achievements."
Chae Won
"I thought it was a blast experience playing in the high scorers concert. That night, I felt really accomplished after playing that!"

With over 1,200 students, staff, and parents participating in the 5km run or walk, the event was a true reflection of the school’s commitment to fostering a strong sense of community.
What do you do when you have school uniforms that are now too small, or you no longer need them, but you don’t want to simply throw them away? For BIS HCMC parents, Bibi, Margot, and Ying, this dilemma sparked an inspiring solution—the Parent Uniform Upcycling Team.
