U14 Girls Football vs ISHCMC

BIS HCMC U14a Girls Football vs ISHCMC

Final Score: 1-0

Match Report: On the day of the match we were missing a player and sadly our coach was also away. We still tried our best to pass accurately and dribble through players but, we were still trying to get used to our new positions. ISHCMC had a lot of shots on goal and it was very lucky that only one of them went in.

In the first half we were getting settled in our new positions and finding out what we had to do in them and this distraction gave ISHCMC a lot of chances to come up and shoot. In the second half we were playing a lot better and knew what we had to do but a big issue was that many players weren't doing their best to run up to receive the ball but then also track back and defend. This ended in ISHCMC scoring their first goal and their only goal in that match.

There was one key player in our match that stood out to me and that was Malena. When I took the goal kicks she was far up the pitch and in a perfectly open position.

U14 Boys Football vs ISHCMC

U14BoysvsISHCMC

Last night we were faced with an impending matchup against our longtime rivals ISHCMC at their campus. We moved the ball fluidly, with pace and precision and we created many scoring opportunities. On the defensive side, we made strong challenges as well as rotating as a unit. We played better as a team in this match compared to the previous one as we communicated more effectively along with making crafty decisions. Our flaws were that we couldn't manage to finish off our chances we created and that our defense were allowing too many shots at goal, rather than denying the space for an open look. We will learn from these errors and move on as a team.

U19 Girls Basketball vs AMIS

Final Score: 40-7

This match was against the team that we lost to by 1 point at last year’s SISAC in the final few seconds. Their team seemed to be quite a young team and after just a few minutes we had realised that this game was not going to be too difficult. Because of this, we were able to get different players to play positions they usually don’t play which may be useful for future games; not only this but once again, we were able to effectively apply our practiced motion offense as well as pushing high on zone defense. Our half court arrow resulted in many interceptions and more baskets being scored, as seen in the scoreline of 40-7. Despite missing a few players, we still managed to easily snatch the win. This game’s player of the match was Caitlyn Brownrigg!

U14a Boys Football vs AMIS

Final Score: 1-0

The start of the match we had the ball and were able to constantly shoot the ball but we had troubles scoring. However Ron Liu (Assist:Louis) was able to position himself to score a goal. The second half we had trouble in our half, our defenders (Mac, Sid, James) blocked shots, cleared the ball and goalkeeper Will saved many of the opponent’s shots, but ultimately we didn't let in a goal. The game ended 1-0 to BIS!
