At the beginning of the academic year, the production club began and consisted of children from Year 3-6.
There was great excitement at the prospect of performing ‘Mulan’. In addition, the prop and set design club (Y3-6) began to meet and to create what was needed to set the stage.
As the year progressed, the children worked harder and harder, costumes were created and swords, helmets, a reflecting pond and a multitude of other props were developed. Finally, on Thursday 23rd May, the children performed to a packed house. It was amazing to see so many of our school community there supporting the children, especially on a very wet evening.
The show was spectacular; the children sang beautifully, acted amazingly and were simply awesome. They should all be commended on their hard work, including the children from Year 5 and 6 who worked back stage, Year 5 children who worked the lights and sound and all the children involved in creating the set. All the staff involved also worked tirelessly to ensure the children had the best experience possible and we would like to thank everyone involved.
What a show!
