Learning in Action Discovery Morning in Foundation Stage 3
The much celebrated FOBISIA Primary Games, took place in Phuket, Thailand, last week. This annual event consisted of 6 international schools from across Asia, competing in 4 major competitions over three days.
These Games offer so much more to our children than just winning a medal. It shows them that through hard work, dedication, and commitment they become stronger individually and as a team; they understand the value and benefits of training in preparation for competition; that these Games provide a valuable experience in winning and losing, in sportsmanship, and the value of healthy competition; and with the remarkable guidance of our coaches, and the friendships and rivalries made, every child comes away from this experience stronger in so many ways.
And those medals? Well, they aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find metal called 'guts'. Our BIS children have done us all proud. Sport does not create character, it reveals it.
This sentiment is strongly supported by our BIS parents, "Amélie’s participation in sport at BIS has been the making of her. From a shy child at the French Lycée, she has blossomed into a confident pre-teen who is superbly fit & full of energy. We are very grateful to you for that and know that sport will help her throughout her life."
And those fortunate enough to witness these little athletes through the duration of this demanding tournament would have seen them stand another foot taller by the end of it. Champions…every single one of them.
And so a huge THANK YOU to all our parent supporters who clapped, cheered and sang throughout the 3 days. You were there when we needed you. Your support, encouragement, understanding and exemplary behaviour was very much appreciated. You were very much part of the team with us.

With over 1,200 students, staff, and parents participating in the 5km run or walk, the event was a true reflection of the school’s commitment to fostering a strong sense of community.
At BIS HCMC, our Primary Expeditions are more than just school trips—they are life-changing expeditions that shape our students into confident, independent individuals. Earlier this month, our Year 4, 5, and 6 students embarked on thrilling journeys to Long Hai, Can Gio, and Cat Tien.
The BIS Community Rugby Co-Curricular Activity (CCA), in partnership with Rugby Cung Nhau (Rugby Together), is a powerful collaboration rooted in a shared vision: using sport as a tool to uplift and empower young people.
BIS HCMC Barracudas competed at the FOBISIA Swimming Competition at Rugby School Thailand. Facing 16 schools from across Asia, our swimmers showcased exceptional talent, dedication, and sportsmanship in an unforgettable event, bringing home 3rd place overall!
