ADMISSIONS STILL OPEN FOR TERM 2
Last weekend I had the great pleasure of visiting Switzerland for the annual Nord Anglia Education SLT Conference.
During the event, many great initiatives were launched which I believe will ensure that Nord Anglia Education will continue its journey of being an organisation offering a premium education. As we discuss and develop these strategies, then we will involve the school community in these developments as we move forward.
The one disappointment of attending such events is that I miss wonderful events that involve BIS. I was pleased to follow on social media our involvement in the BBGV Fun Run when, once again, we had a large contingent representing the BIS community. I am grateful for the hard work of Lucy Glynn and her marketing department in coordinating our participation in this event. I am also pleased with the positive longstanding relationship that we continue to have with the BBGV. As can be seen by the great photograph of our community at the starting line of the run, I am at least there in spirit with you all!
Another event that took place in my absence was our hosting of the FOBISIA Heads of PE Conference. Over 130 PE leaders from FOBISA schools congregated at BIS to discuss matters in relation to sport in our schools and also to take the opportunity to experience professional development in Physical Education. I am extremely grateful to Phil Husband and his team for successfully organising this event which received very positive feedback from participants.
With regards to FOBISIA, I was very pleased to welcome Mr John Gwyn Jones to BIS HCMC today. Mr Jones is the newly appointed CEO of FOBISIA and, as the Federation’s Executive Board Chair, it was a wonderful opportunity for us to meet and discuss upcoming FOBISIA issues.
I do hope that you all have a wonderful weekend.
