Learning in Action Discovery Morning in Foundation Stage 1
Yesterday was a riot of colour across the Early Years and Infant Campus as we celebrated Moon Festival. Beginning with the Dragon Dance, the children looked amazing in their Ao dai as they sat enthralled and watched the fabulous performance.
Our celebrations continued with two fantastic assemblies. This year, the children paraded into the Sports Hall holding the lanterns they had made at home. This was followed by our Year 2 children who came up on the stage and charmed everyone with their wonderful dance. To end our Moon Festival celebrations Mr. Ian announced the lantern competition winners who had done so well with their creative homemade lanterns. The whole assembly was stunning!
Respecting the traditions and festivals of our host country, Vietnam, is such an important element of life at BIS, and these assemblies would not be such a success without our wonderful Vietnamese staff who were involved in all aspects of the day.
Throughout the day, so many photographs were taken; please look at our Facebook Page over the coming days to see what a spectacular day it was.
