Village HS students Participated in TMEA Region 23 Auditions Congratulations to our students for their participation in the TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) Region 23 Auditions - one of the most competitive Regions in the state and perhaps in the country, with students coming from public and private schools from HISD, Katy ISD and Alief ISD.

Congratulations to our students for their participation in the TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) Region 23 Auditions  - one of the most competitive Regions in the state and perhaps in the country, with students coming from public and private schools from HISD, Katy ISD and Alief ISD.

Approximately 300 students auditioned. Eight string students auditioned from the Village School - Rohith K., Siddhartha S., Jerry H., Rhea S., and Jeffrey Z. playing the Violin and Josue F playing the Double Bass

Two students made the top Symphony Orchestra and one made Philharmonia Orchestra:

Rohith K. - Senior and 4 year Region Player
Siddhartha S. - Senior and 4 year Region Player
Jerry H. is a sophomore and this is his second time earning a chair in Region.

Josue, Rhea and Jeffrey played in front of judges and a room full of 80+ students - not an easy task for anyone. They did a fabulous job and worked very hard to prepare. This was a great learning experience for all of our students.

All students, who auditioned are eligible to try for the Area Elimination Round and recording for All State, which are coming up on October 28, 2016.

Great accomplishments for very hard work!
