Violin? Guitar? Trumpet? Students Try Instruments at First Workshop Weekend
Violin? Guitar? Trumpet? Students Try Instruments at First Workshop Weekend We hosted our first community music workshop weekend where students ages 6 to 18 discovered their options for playing an instrument.

We recently had the honor of welcoming a number of Juilliard-affiliated musicians as well as professional musicians from Chicago to lead the first of many community music workshops. The workshop series is part of After School Arts with Juilliard, a community music lesson program at our school.

This first workshop was designed to help students ages 6 to 18 discover their options for playing an instrument or advance their technique. The free sessions included Intro to Violin, Intro to Guitar and Intro to Band Instruments. The school buzzed with excitement as students worked with our talented teachers, explored the wide variety of instruments available to them and even got hands-on experience.

If you missed our first workshop, no worries! Stay tuned for details about upcoming community music events.
