Mr. Cole
Jake is a curious-minded physics teacher with master’s degrees in chemistry, physics, and education—one just wasn’t enough. After a short career in clinical trial drug development focusing on alternative cancer treatments, he trained to teach in London before moving to Berlin, where he has been teaching the IB Diploma Program. Jake believes science is a subject for everyone and works hard to help students break through the barriers that often put them off studying it further. Whether through experiments, quirky analogies, or animated whiteboard explanations, he strives to make complex ideas feel accessible and engaging. Outside the lab, you’ll likely find him rowing, reading, paddleboarding, or hiking.
