Open Days
The September full moon brought a special bit of magic to BISS Early Years this year. The Baby Cubs of the school got together to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Students and teachers greeted each other wearing vibrant Han Fu garments. Each year group celebrated a bit differently. Pre-Nursery experimented and tasted traditional mooncakes with a mooncake tea party. Nursery pupils created moon-themed art and learned about the legend of the Moon Festival and our Reception students filled the halls with colourful lanterns.
The highlight of the morning was a bilingual play about the holiday legend, brilliantly performed by our talented teachers. Hou Yi shot the nine suns, Chang’E flew to the moon, and we all celebrated as one. As the Moon Festival comes to an end, the children will never forget the day we dressed in Han Fu, sampled mooncakes, and watched our teachers become legends.
As community in China, celebrating local traditions, cuisine and stories brings us all closer together while building a strong sense of pride for our local families.
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival BISS families!

BISS film students receive this unique opportunity with the top film producer after winning the Nord Anglia Global Campus Film Festival Competition. This competition involved 960 students from 22 Nord Anglia schools worldwide.

From the Shanghai Regional Round to the Chengdu National Round, and finally, just a week ago, the Orlando Global Round, our BPA journey over the past six months has been unlike anything we’ve ever experienced.
