Year 7 Homework Project Celebrations

To welcome our Year 7 students to their Secondary School life, a milestone in their learning journey, they undertake a project called “Myself and My School”. The students complete this work in their first two weeks in the Secondary School.

The Year 7 students do not receive any homework from their class teachers, instead they are expected to spend 30 minutes after school each day working on their project. We award Head Teacher Commendations for the best projects!

The project provides a chance for our students to talk about themselves and their families by making presentations to their new classmates and Form Tutor.Our Year 7 students have been very passionate and about their projects, putting in a lot of effort. After the two weeks of work, they have shared lots of creative projects to each other. In each form group, the winners of the best projects are:

IBDP Information Session

On Tuesday 11 January, our Year 11 students and their parents were invited to attend the IBDP Information Session and Subject Fair. The students have just started to think about their move into the IB Academy next year and we are keen to support them with their option choices. One of the benefits to the students of being given the opportunity to think about next year is to offer them additional motivation in this very challenging next two terms.
