On Tuesday 30 January, the Year 10 to Year 13 Art students visited The China Art Museum. The museum is housed in the China Pavilion building, formerly of the Expo 2010 Shanghai China. An appropriately impressive choice of venue for the Year 11 artists who received their exam paper today with the theme of “Power”.
We took the impressive, yet slightly terrifying escalator to the top of the structure and started our adventure through the stunning galleries which explored traditional Chinese brush painting.
We then made whistle-stop tours through the vast array of themes and media that was endless in this gigantic space.
If you have not been to the gallery, then I would thoroughly recommend this as a educational experience or simply a day out with friends and family.
