Ancient Egypt comes to life

Ancient Egypt comes to life - Ancient Egypt comes to life

The Year 3 STEAM Showcase was a resounding success, showcasing the remarkable talents and achievements of our students in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. Parents were treated to an awe-inspiring display of creativity and innovation that left everyone captivated. The students were proud to showcase and talk about what they have worked on in our Da Vinci Centre. Designing, creating and making a 3D map of ancient Egypt, 3D pen jewellery and painting funerary pharaoh masks.

Teams of students worked collaboratively to create a stunning 3D map of ancient Egypt, complete with intricate details of the Nile Delta that brought history to life in a whole new dimension. The dedication and teamwork displayed by the students were truly commendable. Collaborative and cooperative learning are important skills which will contribute to our students’ future success.

The showcase also featured beautifully painted funerary masks that reflected the rich cultural heritage of ancient Egyptian royalty. Each mask told a story of craftsmanship and artistry, highlighting the students' attention to detail and creative flair. Our students enjoyed taking their parents around to share how they painted their masks.

Furthermore, parents were amazed by the ancient Egyptian designed jewellery crafted using 3D pens, showcasing the seamless fusion of technology and art. The intricate designs and precision demonstrated in each piece were a testament to the students' ingenuity and skill. The use of 3D pens, lays the foundation for the students’ learning of the uses of 3D printers.

Overall, the Year 3 STEAM Showcase was a celebration of talent, creativity and passion for learning. It was a true reflection of the incredible potential of our students and the transformative power of interdisciplinary education.

We would also like to thank our wonderful parents for their support with the event.
