Here at The British School of Beijing, Sanlitun we try to organise after-school club activities for every day of the week. We work with a number of clubs to ensure there is always plenty of fun, challenging and enriching activities for children in our school and the wider community.

In addition to these we have our very own After School Activities (ASA) Programme which is compulsory for children from Year 1 to Year 6. They take place each Tuesday and Wednesday and are loved by all the children in school. They are predominantly led by teachers and TAs but we also encourage parents to participate as well. The clubs fall within the strands of Physical, Academic, Creative, and Musical.

The ASA programme takes place from 15:30-16:30 and bus services for children attending ASAs are moved to 16:30.

Sally Copley, Head of UK policy for the charity Save the Children, said: "Children who do after-school activities have more confidence, see the world in different ways, have a stronger sense of identity…”

We agree with this sentiment fully and work very hard to ensure we enrich the lives of our children through our strong ASA programme and extra-curricular activities.
