The children were so excited to take part in their KS1 Sports Day this week. They had been practising very hard in their PE lessons to get ready for all of the different events. They had fun competing in their houses and all looked so cool in their house t-shirts. The colourfulness on the field went really well with the splendid weather we were lucky to have!
Some of the different events included: javelin, target throw, long jump, football and hockey dribbling relays, a running relay and even a sprint race. It was great to see so many Be Ambitious skills on show. The children showed great sportsmanship by working together and supporting their teammates. They also showed great resilience, even if something was a little tricky, they kept on going!
Finally, it was wonderful to be able to welcome so many parents to our Sports Day. The children really enjoyed having their family members supporting them. All of the children did amazingly and in the end, it was a very close call, but the mighty Normans ended up stealing the show and winning the KS1 Sports Day Trophy - gooooo Normans! A Super Sports Day indeed! We are already looking forward to next year's one!
