‘Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflakes…’

‘Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflakes…’ | BSB Sanlitun - Snowflakes

‘Snowflake, snowflake, little snowflake, little snowflake falling from the sky…’ Burr! The weather was very cold and our Pre-Nursery children fully embraced all the activities about ‘snow and ice’ over the last few weeks. We have been singing and dancing to songs about snow and exploring sensory trays all about winter!

From Tadpoles class, we found polar bears and penguins catching fish for their meal in the discover tray. In Seahorses class, we found some blue and white handprints left by the cutest penguins and in Starfish class, we found some hardworking Inuit people building their igloos with different materials.

Through our learning journey, we also encouraged the children to work collaboratively with each other, using their imagination and creativity to make their own snow artwork. We have also been working on independence skills and we are so proud that many of our students can now put on their coats and hats before we go outside.
