Recently, our Year 1 students have explored the exciting world of light and dark! They learned how shadows are made and when we can see them.
Using torches, they had fun creating different shadow animals and experimenting with how to change the size of their shadows. The children worked together, sharing ideas and discussing their discoveries. It was fantastic to see their curiosity grow as they observed the effects of light on shadows.
What an amazing time of creativity and teamwork as they got ready to make their light-and-dark themed artwork! Their light-and-dark themed artwork featured the character Nell, from the book they have been studying this week: ‘The Detective Dog’ by Julia Donaldson.

Our young adventurers in Year 3 took on two days full of fun, laughter, learning, and a touch of bravery on their Residential Trip this week. They returned with stories, smiles, and some seriously impressive new skills.
