Caring, Growing and Celebrating Together

What a lovely week we have had together in Pre-Nursery and Tadpoles! Our days have been filled with little smiles, happy moments, new discoveries and plenty of opportunities to learn about ourselves and each other. As we continued exploring feelings and emotions, we also began to bring the warmth and togetherness of the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival into our learning. It has been especially lovely to see the children sharing, caring for one another and growing closer as our little class family.

One of the highlights was definitely making mooncakes with playdough. The children had so much fun creating their own mooncakes and proudly sharing them with their friends and teachers. We talked about how the Mid-Autumn Festival is a special time for families to come together, share food and enjoy being with one another. This gave us a lovely opportunity to think about our own class family and how we can make one another feel happy, safe and connected through sharing, caring and spending special moments together. Seeing the children happily sharing their creations and enjoying these moments with their friends was particularly heart-warming.

We also continued our learning about feelings and emotions through storytelling, props, role play and creating different facial expressions. We talked about how we feel and encouraged the children to use simple words to express their own feelings, while also beginning to notice how others might be feeling too. It has been so lovely to see the children becoming more confident in expressing themselves and, at the same time, showing growing care and empathy towards their friends. These may seem like small moments, but they are such important steps as our little ones learn to understand themselves and the people around them.

Children’s yoga was another favourite this week! The little ones enjoyed stretching their bodies, practising simple breathing and taking a few peaceful moments to slow down and relax. It was wonderful to see their little faces becoming calm and their bodies becoming still as they enjoyed this special time together.

As we come to the end of another lovely week, we feel very proud of all the little moments of connection, kindness, friendship and learning we have shared together. It is truly special to watch our Pre-Nursery and Tadpole children grow in confidence, build relationships and gradually become such an important part of their little class families.
We hope you and your families have a wonderful and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival, filled with love, laughter, delicious mooncakes and precious time together. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival from all of us!
