Kirsten Gibbons

Head of Learning Support
Kirsten-Gibbons

Kirsten is a dedicated and accomplished teacher with extensive experience in various educational settings worldwide. With a passion for helping students realize their full potential, Kirsten has worked in mainstream, English as an Additional Language (EAL), and learning-support environments. Her expertise spans across the Middle East, Asia, and Europe, gaining valuable insights into diverse cultures and educational practices.

Kirsten's teaching philosophy revolves around making learning purposeful and enjoyable. She firmly believes that when students are engaged and motivated, they are more likely to excel academically and develop a lifelong love for learning. Kirsten's approach involves creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore their interests and grow both academically and personally.

Having spent considerable time in China, Kirsten has developed a deep appreciation for the country's rich culture and culinary traditions. She has even collected multiple recipes of northern Chinese cuisine, which she enthusiastically incorporates into her daily life. Beyond her professional endeavours, Kirsten enjoys various physical activities. Dancing, swimming, and taking her beloved dogs for long walks are among her favorite pastimes. These activities not only contribute to her physical well-being but also serve as outlets for creativity and relaxation.

Kirsten is thrilled to become a part of the BSG family this August and excited about the opportunity to collaborate with students, parents, and fellow educators in shaping the academic journey of her students.
