EXPANDING KNOWLEDGE AND AWARENESS

Through accelerated language and technology learning, STEAM or other skill-building activities, trips, and adventures, we help our students go outside their comfort zones, collaborate, and achieve what they never imagined possible before.

Further practice and enrichment though Academies

Popular academies include the Cambridge English EAL, other language development programmes, or additional activities in STEAM, the arts, or sports that boost our students’ abilities and give them further time to practice or hone their skills beyond class time.

We often add new academies each term, depending on the availability of external providers. There’s a small fee per term to participate.

KEEPING HEALTHY AND STAYING BALANCED

LOOKING AFTER WELL-BEING

Student well-being is our top priority at BSG. We attend to student wellness through our pastoral and guidance programmes – a stand-alone subject in our curriculum and a series of woven practices.

Our in-house staff and external specialists provide a full range of support and counselling services. Every child may approach our staff to receive the support they need.

For our international families adjusting to life in Guangzhou, our active BSG Parents Support Group especially helps families settle in. They regularly host a range of social and educational events designed to encourage connections within the community and strengthen the partnership between home and school life.

PURPOSEFUL LEARNING

CARING THAT DRIVES ACTION

BSG has a vibrant culture around service and action to improve the lives around us, helping model ways to develop social purpose.

A group of BSG students of all ages, parents, and teachers known as ‘Community Partnership’ holds dozens of projects and events to support charities in China. Our students have volunteered to help the homeless of Guangzhou every Saturday morning throughout the year and during school holidays as one of Community Partnership’s ongoing activities. Through their service, our students develop an acute understanding of the needs of the community.
