Our A-level school curriculum

In Years 12 and 13, our students delve deeper into their chosen subjects. As they prepare for university – and start thinking about careers – they become specialists in their fields, typically studying three or four A-levels.

 

Our students choose from one of the widest ranges of A-level subjects in Malaysia, including art, biology, business studies, chemistry, computer science, drama and theatre studies, economics, English literature, French, geography, graphic communication, history, maths, media studies, music, PE, physics, psychology, and Spanish.

 

We know that choosing the right courses can be a daunting task. From Year 10 onwards, we’ll help your child select the subjects they enjoy, that play to their strengths, and which match their aspirations for the future. We’ll also cover our A-level requirements.

The student experience

While academic success is a priority, we place significant emphasis on the whole student experience. We organise several trips and expeditions, provide a variety of student leadership opportunities, and offer a plethora of co-curricular activities, including sports, volunteering, music, drama, and dance, and languages.

 

Outstanding academic results

We’re incredibly proud of our sixth form students’ exceptional results. In 2022, 100% of our students passed their A-levels, with 68% earning A* or A grades. Eight achieved straight A* grades, too.

CAREERS AND UNIVERSITY INFORMATION

Our sixth form team, specialist subject teachers, and university counsellor will help your child choose and apply for university. This includes guiding your family through the application process.

As well as having close links with universities in Malaysia and around the world, we offer a range of bespoke support. This includes university visits, additional summer courses, help with applying to US and UK institutions, and advice sessions with BSKL alumni.
