The Secondary Beyond the Curriculum programme closed for Term 3 this week.
The Secondary Beyond the Curriculum programme closed for Term 3 this week and it was wonderful to walk round and spend time with students enjoying some of the activities they have been doing this term. From competitive chess to makeup, Model United Nations to the online school magazine, creative writing to EcoLions....there really has been something for everyone.
I spent Wednesday afternoon with Ms Goh and her students in the FoodLab making lemon tart with Chef Karine and it was fantastic to see them all fully engaged in the cooking process. At BSKL, we truly believe in a holistic education and activities like this offer students the opportunity to step out of their comfort zone and try something new in a safe environment.
This years Beyond the Curriculum programme focused on being creative, being active, being of service and being competitive and through our extensive programme of activities throughout the year, well over 80% of our students participated in at least one activity.
We look forward to providing more amazing activities for our students next year. Thank you to all students who participated, all staff who lead or facilitated activities and to our parents for their support.
Good nutrition is essential for children’s overall health and development, impacting their physical growth, cognitive function, and emotional wellbeing.
As we approach the final week of this term, it’s the perfect moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate the incredible achievements of our students over the past months.
