Parents were treated to an amazing choreography of spectacles, beautiful poetry, music and a formidable demonstration of linguistic prowess. We now just need to make sure that our Mandarin teachers don’t leave to pursue careers in the theatre.
Greater than the sum of their individual parts, the Chinese New Year Assemblies showed the joy of the coming together of the school community to showcase our finest talents and enjoy fusing together our different skills that resulted in a massive sensory treat for everyone in the audience.
Although our teachers and pupil performers are now enjoying a welcome break from preparation, I am sure that there are many of us who are already eagerly looking forward to next year’s shows. Congratulations and thanks to all those who made last Friday such a memorable day at BSKL. We wish all a great year of the Dragon.
