NAE Hanoi Conference
BSKL met with the most outstanding minds in education, at a global Nord Anglia Education conference in Vietnam.
In March, more than 200 international educators from 15 countries around the globe descended in Hanoi, Vietnam to innovate, problem solve and brainstorm at one of the world’s largest academic conferences.

Hosted by Nord Anglia Education schools, the British International School Hanoi and the British Vietnamese International School Hanoi, world-leading education experts discussed the exciting future of education, including how to enhance the educational journey for children using AI in education.

Principal from BSKL, Dr Mike O’Connor emphasised the importance of global learning and teaching collaborations, to ensure children continue to experience an outstanding education that prepares them to thrive in life.

“The strength of the NAE family was on full display as my team were able to meet and collaborate with their peers from 25 partner schools. Collegial conversation, the sharing of ideas, and social interaction at the conference was of the highest standard. It was an outstanding conference and our students will greatly benefit from our attendance in Hanoi.” Dr O’Connor said.

Special guest, Nord Anglia Education Chief Education Officer Dr Elise Ecoff also joined from the United Kingdom, to share pioneering developments in Nord Anglia-led digital research and advancements, and AI in education – how they have worked together to create an enriching foundation for children in Vietnam.

Other guest education innovators met with parents, students and the wider Hanoi community to share best practice, exciting new research and innovation in education.

Secondary Academic Deputy Head from BSKL, Dr Bruce Geddes, commented: "What a pleasure it was to connect with such a group of outstanding educators, to participate in their workshops and develop ongoing relationships so that we can call on each other’s expertise over the coming years from across the world. Highlights included sharing the novel ways AI can be used to extend pupil outcomes and provide efficiencies in the classroom. These discussions included having the opportunity to present on the (exciting)?/pioneering work we are doing at BSKL in this area. The conference and workshops has been a highlight of my Professional Development as a teacher and speaks to the strengths of BSKL being part of the NEA family."
