I had the pleasure of judging Moritz during the fourth debate of the competition. He showed amazing signs of teamwork throughout the debate and during the preparation time. He successfully referenced his teammates previous point during his rebuttal to the previous speaker, demonstrating an advanced understanding of the importance of a consistent through line across a team. Mortiz repeatedly proved that his points were not isolated arguments, but in fact part of a much larger collective effort. For this he is well deserving of the Star Speaker award. He also demonstrated some superb stylistic techniques that he maintained throughout the debate - all round an excellent speaker!
