The UK Department of Education has formally recognised The British School of Tashkent's (BST) outstanding educational offering in Uzbekistan.

A proud British school in Tashkent, our school is known for its outstanding education, transformational experiences, world-class teachers and familial community.

And now with a full British Schools Overseas (BSO) accreditation from the UK Department of Education, our exceptional educational offering is not only recognised in Uzbekistan, but globally.

BST has become the first international school in Uzbekistan to have successfully passed the BSO inspection and receive full accreditation.

The UK Department of Education inspectors highlighted our school's most impressive strengths as:

  • The exceptional progress the school has made post-pandemic
  • Our school's clear vision
  • An ambitious and achievable development plan
  • Support and good opportunities for our academic and support staff
  • Our overall teaching and learning
  • Enthusiastic and engaged children who really appreciate their teachers
  • Our afterschool activities
  • A very supportive parent group, and strong sense of community
  • Our excellent social impact and community service initiatives

This full BSO accreditation has been a collective effort, and we would like to thank our whole community - our parents, students, staff and BST partners - for their valuable contribution. Special thanks to the BSO inspection team for their support as well, and positive feedback to help us take our school to even greater heights.
