We teach students how to use the scientific method. Students ask questions, perform experiments and tests, and make observations. They then analyse and present data, use evidence, report findings, and draw conclusions.
Prior to moving into Secondary School, in Years 5 and 6, students begin to build a deeper understanding of a wide range of scientific ideas. They also begin to explore more abstract theories and recognise how these help them predict how the world operates. They begin to recognise that scientific understanding changes over time.
