Early Years & Primary Weekly Updates (4/1 - 6/1) Weekly letter from Head of Primary - Mr Malcolm Wood

Dear Parents

It is a pleasure to welcome back your children after the Christmas holiday. I hope you had a good time together.

As the new year is traditionally a time to look forward and make a bright future, this afternoon in assembly I read the children Oh the Places You’ll Go! - a Dr. Seuss book about the adventures and challenges we all face in life.

On a related theme, I also interviewed some of our Year 13 students, who are preparing for the exciting adventure of going away to universities around the world. This is something our senior leadership are involved in to help them to develop their interview skills. It is truly rewarding to see how mature, well-educated, and presentable our oldest students are. It is a pleasure to be involved in helping them one more step along the road to a happy and successful life.

The best university students have great academic skills, which we help them to develop. They also have wide interests and can see the connections between things: we are working on that all the way from Early Years.

I hope to see many of you at our Tet Fair tomorrow. We will also be inviting you to more Tet celebrations on Tuesday 17th January, details to follow.

Wishing you and your family a happy new year,

Warm regards
Malcolm Wood (Mr)
Head of Primary
