In Key Stage 3, our Year 7-9 students make the transition from Primary to Secondary. At this vital stage in their education, our British curriculum develops the broad range of skills they need to excel in their IGCSE exams at Key Stage 4.

OUR KEY STAGE 3 CURRICULUM

The first three years of Secondary education at BVIS HCMC are categorised as Key Stage 3 (KS3). This comprises Years 7, 8, and 9, and is based on the English National Curriculum.

Key Stage 3 accelerates our students' progress in a wide variety of subjects. Guided by knowledgeable subject specialists in state-of-the-art facilities, your child will discover their own unique combination of strengths, skills, and passions. This will prepare them for the next steps in their educational journey, as they further personalise their study programme at IGCSE level. 

In Years 7, 8, and 9, 80% of lessons are taught in English. Nonetheless, we remain committed to supporting the development of Vietnamese language and culture. That's why we also teach Vietnamese literature, Vietnamese history, and Vietnamese geography, through the Vietnamese language.  

Non-native Vietnamese learners are supported in become competent communicators through intensive one-to-one or small group instruction, with the support of our Vietnamese as an Additional Language (VAL) Department.
