What is Key Stage 3 at BVIS HCMC?

The first three years of Secondary education at BVIS HCMC are categorised as Key Stage 3 (KS3). This comprises Years 7, 8, and 9, and is based on the National Curriculum for England.

Key Stage 3 accelerates our students' progress in a wide variety of subjects. Guided by knowledgeable subject specialists in state-of-the-art facilities, your child will discover their own unique combination of strengths, skills, and passions. This will prepare them for the next steps in their educational journey, as they further personalise their study programme at IGCSE level.

 

In Years 7 to 9, 80% of lessons are delivered in English. At the same time, we are committed to preserving and strengthening Vietnamese language and cultural identity through dedicated lessons in Vietnamese Literature, History, and Geography, taught in Vietnamese.

For students who are not native Vietnamese speakers, our Vietnamese as an Additional Language (VAL) Department provides tailored one to one or small group support, helping them develop confidence and proficiency as effective Vietnamese communicators.
