By Secondary, language and culture become a profound exploration. Programmes such as EAL Support, Book Club, Vietnamese Theatre for Tet, and performance-based activities help students express themselves with confidence while shaping a global mindset. Early experiences start with playful experiments, guided activities, and creative challenges that spark curiosity and confidence. As they move into Primary, the excitement grows with clubs like Science & STEAM, Snapology Scientists, Robopets, Modular Robotics, and Coding. Here, learners dive into the world of LEGO® engineering, animation design, and programming—making science feel accessible, colorful, and fun.
In Secondary, STEAM becomes a platform for real-world problem-solving. Opportunities such as the CREST Silver Award, Python Programming, Digital Masterminds, Digital Explorers, and interdisciplinary projects challenge students to think critically, work independently, and innovate solutions for the future. Founded in 1956 by Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, the award is the leading structured (non formal) youth development programme for young people aged 14 to 24. Based on the challenging level of activities and location, the award is composed of 3 different levels: Gold, Silver and Bronze which form unique experiences and comprehensive development for participants. The areas developed are:

✔️ A sense of identity
✔️ Initiative and a sense of responsibility
✔️ A real awareness of their strengths
✔️ New talents and abilities
✔️ The ability to plan and use time effectively
✔️ Learning from and giving to others in the community

An opportunity to explore the humanity's giant leap
Our students have the special opportunity to visit NASA's Space Center, thanks to the collaboration between BVIS and The Village School, a member school of the Nord Anglia Education, located in Houston, Texas. The trip provides our students with unique knowledge and experiences, nurturing their passion for science and inspiring them to pursue big dreams in the future. The trip's exciting itinerary includes:
• Visiting NASA's Space Center in Houston and the Mission Control
• Experiencing astronaut training
• Visiting the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the aquarium, and the Fine Arts Museum
• Watching a soccer match of the Houston Dynamo at the stadium
• Touring universities such as the University of Houston and University of St. Thomas
The residential trips organised by BVIS create opportunities for students to broanden their knowledge when they set foot into new places and explore surrounding nature. We incorporate many interesting activities and games throughout the journey, encouraging our students to actively participate and practice important soft skills such as problem solving, information exchange in teams and independent thinking.

The summit buzzed with excitement as students delved into discussions on advancing the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and enhancing their impact in local communities.
Every year, a handful of selected students fly to New York City to take part in workshops and discussions at the United Nations, learning how to make a difference on a global scale.
