THIMUN The Hague is a 51 year old Model United Nations Conference hosted in The Hague, home of the International Criminal Court, and considered the international city of peace.  This particular Model United Nations conference is often deemed the most prestigious Model United Nations Conference in the world, attracting over 200 schools and 3200 students.

High school students work in committees designed to simulate the United Nations and collaboratively propose research-based solutions to problems actually tackled by diplomats and heads of state in a form matching that of UN resolutions and amendments to said resolutions.

This year CDS performed FABULOUSLY passing:

29 Amendments

17 Co-submitted Resolutions

3 Resolutions for which CDS kids were main submitters.

These results are impressive for any school, let alone one attending this large conference for the first time.  CDS was the only school from Costa Rica present. We have hopes of returning again, as some of our students have already been encouraged to apply to chair a committee.
