Integrity is the practice of being honest and showing a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values. In ethics, integrity is regarded as the honesty and truthfulness or accuracy of one's actions. Wikipedia It sounds easy but it is not. We must try to always be clear of what we want, we should contribute with right actions (truthful with our words and actions), we must show empathy to our surroundings, and we must keep calm in all circumstances. I consider clarity, contribution, empathy, and calmness, as values attached to integrity.

To have clarity in life we must be very aware of what we want and we should focus on reaching our goals. Ask yourself: how do I bring clarity to my life? You must watch what you eat, how much you sleep, eliminate distractions, identify what matters, work one step at a time and you must have space/time for yourself to meditate on how to accomplish your personal goals without interfering with others.

To get to the point of being clear of what we want we must explore and experience options in life. It takes time and daily re-evaluation. It will always be challenging. As social beings, we must consider our contribution to this world and to others by listening mindfully, evaluating our thoughts and actions, and by considering what we share.

Empathy begins in the moment I put myself in the shoes of the person next to me, or when I think deeply about how my actions are affecting or not the World. What am I doing to be a better being? In the track of finding the roots of integrity in our deepest self, we must keep calm all the time.

Life is a path of ups and downs, nothing is or stays still; and if it does, it is because it is dead. We must learn every day a lesson, the day we stop learning is the day we die. Some tips to be integral are: keep your word and commitment, always pay attention to details. You must stay focused on what you want to accomplish in your life. Surround yourself with honest people, when you lose your path, they will help you to get back on track.

Be responsible for your thoughts and actions, sometimes we don’t put our thoughts in words but we act wrongly because of what we think, check and be aware of what you are thinking or doing, and if you need to reconsider, do so. Respect the ones around you. We are all valuable. We learn through difficulties.

Every day we have opportunities to learn how to become a better person, it depends just on you if you want to see facts as opportunities or not. And last but not least, you must respect yourself. Self-respect starts by being aware that you are alive and the choices you make. Ask yourself: What do I want for my life and how would I like to be remembered?
