Earth Day

Today we kicked off our Earth Day celebrations at CDS. This year we are celebrating Earth Day by promoting Circular Economy in our school. Students started the day by watching a video in which various members in our community explained how CDS is using the 5 R’s to promote circular economy (Reject, Reduce, Reuse, Redesign and Recycle). As a school, we made an effort to reduce the waste produced during lunchtime in the cafeteria by consuming everything we ordered and finding other uses for our inorganic waste. We will have the results of this challenge next week once the waste has been weighed.

Planned Fire Drill

On Monday, April 24 our Health and Safety Team will be conducting a routine fire drill with all students and staff.  At CDS, our number one priority is the health and safety of our staff and students. To this end, we conduct routine safety drills to ensure that we have strong systems in place.  Feel free to talk to your child about our upcoming drill (Monday afternoon) and encourage them to ask their teacher/administrator if they have any questions.

Nina Masis as Ms. Evans
Ana Larrazabal as Luna
Andres Macia as Mr. Anderson

Play Description
Get ready for an electrifying performance by talented student actors and writers in a new, original play that tackles important themes of mental health within high school life. As a free play, this production also accepts donations towards teenage mental health foundations, making it an opportunity to both be entertained and support a worthy cause. Don't miss out on this chance to contribute to a better future while enjoying an incredible show. Because of themes covered in the play it is appropriate for 8th grade and up.

Play Dates - April 26th and April 27th at 6:00 pm

Entrance is free. All donations to the play will be given to Fundación Amy and NAMI (The National Alliance on Mental Illness). Details will be provided soon. Dress code is black and white!  To RSVP, please click here - RSVP FORM
