Tiziana received her Bachelor of Arts and Education Degrees from the University of Winnipeg, and she also attended the Università Per Stranieri in Perugia, Italy where she obtained a Diploma for Linguistic Studies. She is in the process of receiving a Canadian Leadership Diploma for Independent Schools.
Since 2003, she has worked at St. John’s-Ravenscourt School, which is an independent day and boarding K-12 school in Winnipeg. In her years of experience, she has held the roles of French Department Head and teacher, Residence Advisor for Boarding, Student Life Coordinator, Middle School Advisor and most recently Grade 6 Team Leader. She has also been the co-chair of a Canadian National Leadership Camp, a coach for various teams, and a Round Square Representative where she facilitated international travel and exchanges.
Her passion has been aimed at challenging minds, encouraging self-reflection and promoting character and leadership development in students. She believes in teaching responsibility to self, respect for others, honesty and humility, cooperation, and good humor, as well as openness to difference. Tiziana has a love for languages and is fluent in English, French and Italian. She loves traveling, cooking, all sports, shopping and spending time outdoors.
She will be moving to Switzerland with her husband, her two sons both who will attend Collège Champittet and their dog, Oliver. They are very excited to embark on this new adventure and look forward to embracing their new Champitett family and everything that Switzerland has to offer!
By learning to plan their time wisely, students can be more productive, develop great study habits, and create a balanced lifestyle – one that fosters both personal and academic growth. Mastering this essential skill also sets them up for future success.
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” Here at Champittet, we know that inspiring children to dream big while envisioning their future is a core part of education. It’s also the focus of Dare All Trades Day, or JOM (Journée Oser tous les Métiers).
The Winter Ball is an eagerly awaited annual tradition here at Champittet, but this year brought a twist: the school’s first ever Masquerade Ball. With the theme “Black and Gold, don’t forget your mask!”, this year’s winter dance was organised by 14th-grade IB students, and the event was open to students in grades 9 and 10.
