The Nord Anglia Education Europe STEAM Festival took place in November and we have so much to tell you about it!
A group of Champittet students travelled all the way to Prague to take part in this unique event, hosted by the Prague British International School. For this year's theme, Cities of the Future, students had to challenge their creativity and come up with practical responses to real-life disaster scenarios.
On their first day, the mixed-school teams learnt how to develop innovative solutions for protection and prevention against disasters. Among them:
Would the teams' constructions sustain the violent shakes of an earthquake or the strength of a tsunami wave? Their work was put to the test with the help of simulators.
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” Here at Champittet, we know that inspiring children to dream big while envisioning their future is a core part of education. It’s also the focus of Dare All Trades Day, or JOM (Journée Oser tous les Métiers).
The Winter Ball is an eagerly awaited annual tradition here at Champittet, but this year brought a twist: the school’s first ever Masquerade Ball. With the theme “Black and Gold, don’t forget your mask!”, this year’s winter dance was organised by 14th-grade IB students, and the event was open to students in grades 9 and 10.
Who says summer is far away? Registration is now open for the Champittet Leadership Camp!
