Since 2017, our Collège Champittet Nyon holds the "Eco-Schools" certification label and is committed to respecting the environment and introducing students to the challenges of sustainable development from an early age. Today, we are proud to announce the renewal of our "Eco-Schools" label. This award is the result of two years of investment in citizenship and waste management.

What is the Eco-Schools label?

The label is an important step in the continuous improvement process of the school. It is a source of recognition for those involved, brings visibility and legitimacy to the project, and is a driving force to mobilise more people to participate. As the Eco-Schools label is internationally recognised, it also gives the school credibility. However, the awarding of the label should not be seen as an end in itself, but as a starting point symbolising the school's commitment to education for sustainable development.

Our entire community (students, parents, teachers and staff) is involved in a continuous and progressive improvement process in terms of sustainable development.

After having renewed the label in June 2019 on the theme of biodiversity and in 2021 by working on sustainable food; this year, our goal is to continue to develop the biodiversity of our educational garden.

Educating the eco-citizens of tomorrow

Educating our young students to be eco-citizens is one of our priorities. Whether it is during their math, French, or art lessons, we raise awareness and teach our students to take on today's challenges by having them develop multidisciplinary skills.
