In an ever-evolving educational landscape, it's essential for schools to adapt and innovate to meet the changing needs of students. At Champitett we have always been at the forefront of educational excellence, and for the upcoming 2023-24 school year, we are making a significant stride by embracing the themes of well-being and mental strength.

This year, we have taken our Physical Education (PE) program to new heights on our Nyon campus by introducing swimming and dance modules, with the latter being offered in partnership with the prestigious Juilliard School.

Swimming and dance: nurturing body and soul

The inclusion of swimming and dance in the PE program demonstrates Champittet Nyon’s dedication to fostering physical fitness and artistic expression among its students. Swimming is not only an essential life skill but also an excellent form of exercise that promotes cardiovascular health, strength, and endurance. Dance, on the other hand, allows students to explore their creative side while improving flexibility, coordination, and overall physical well-being.

The Juilliard is renowned worldwide for its excellence in performing arts education, and by collaborating with them, we provide our students with a unique opportunity to receive dance instruction of the highest caliber. This partnership not only enhances the school's academic offerings but also reinforces the importance of the arts in education.

You can find a video of a Juilliard dance specialist, Laura Careless, speaking about Juilliard and its approach to teaching dance here.

Diverse physical activities

In addition to swimming and dance, Champittet Nyon PE modules for the 2023-24 school year will cover a wide range of physical activities, ensuring that students have a well-rounded physical education. These modules will include Fitness, Gymnastics, Invasion Games, Striking Games, and Athletics.

Extracurricular sports

We are not limiting our commitment to physical well-being to the classroom. For extracurricular activities,we are expanding its sports offerings to provide students with more opportunities to engage in healthy, active lifestyles. Notably, we are promoting gender equality and inclusivity by introducing a separate football group for girls.

Our traditional Sports Day

We value tradition and community spirit. Therefore, we will continue to host our traditional sports day in the spring. This event allows students to showcase their athletic talents, build camaraderie, and create lasting memories.

Exciting multisports camps

For students who wish to take their physical fitness to the next level, we offer multisport holiday camps that go beyond the ordinary. Participants can enjoy a range of exciting activities, including pony riding, boxing, fencing, and more.

In conclusion, Champittet's focus on well-being and mental strength for the 2023-24 school year reflects our dedication to providing a comprehensive and holistic education.
