We are proud to announce that Collège Champittet Pully has earned the prestigious Eco-Schools Award. Also known as the Green Flag Award, this international award certifies our commitment to supporting environmentally responsible practices and education for sustainable development. Our Nyon campus has been an Eco-Schools since 2017, so the Green Flag now waves proudly on both campuses!
To qualify for the award, schools must complete a series of steps. These include forming an Eco-Committee, carrying out a sustainable development audit, creating an action plan, and linking sustainable development to the curriculum. A jury of independent experts in education and sustainable development then makes the decision to grant the Eco-Schools Award.
Renewable every two years, the Eco-Schools Award reflects our long-term commitment to sustainable development and continuous improvement. At Collège Champittet, we believe that it is our responsibility to reduce our ecological footprint and integrate sustainability within school life. Cultivating a sense of environmental awareness and responsibility from an early age is vital to educating our students as global citizens. Whether during math, French or art lessons, we strive to introduce our young learners to these urgent challenges and inspire them to seek solutions. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our Eco-Committee, which includes teachers, students, staff and parents. Flying the Green Flag brings value to everyone involved, increases visibility and legitimacy for our sustainability project, and inspires more people to join our cause.
We only have one planet. Let’s work together to protect it!
By learning to plan their time wisely, students can be more productive, develop great study habits, and create a balanced lifestyle – one that fosters both personal and academic growth. Mastering this essential skill also sets them up for future success.
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” Here at Champittet, we know that inspiring children to dream big while envisioning their future is a core part of education. It’s also the focus of Dare All Trades Day, or JOM (Journée Oser tous les Métiers).
The Winter Ball is an eagerly awaited annual tradition here at Champittet, but this year brought a twist: the school’s first ever Masquerade Ball. With the theme “Black and Gold, don’t forget your mask!”, this year’s winter dance was organised by 14th-grade IB students, and the event was open to students in grades 9 and 10.
