Meet Jane, our University Counsellor, and join our career counselling events

Jane Driscoll

It’s never too early to start thinking about higher education and future career aspirations! At Collège Champittet, our students can count on the helpful support of our Career and University Guidance Counsellor Jane Driscoll Himmelrich.

Originally from Northern California, Jane brings over 15 years of expertise in higher education. A proud UC Santa Cruz alum, she also holds a certificate in University Guidance Counselling from UC San Diego. Jane has previously worked in Student Life, Services, and Communications at EHL Hospitality Business School and International Programmes at Pepperdine University, and she has held leadership roles at Drew University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology, contributing to their university advancement programmes.

Passionate about mentoring students, Jane is dedicated to helping them define and achieve their goals, guiding them as they shape their futures. She says, “It's exciting to work with students and families at Champittet – meeting students where they are and helping them explore and prepare for their next steps. I’m grateful for the collaborative working environment with our teachers, school leadership, university representatives and Parents’ Association. We work together to help students create ambitious yet attainable options here in Switzerland and around the world.”

Several important university and career counselling activities will be held in the coming months, and we highly encourage our secondary school students and their parents to attend. Our University Counsellor, Deans and faculty are here to support our students and families in selecting the best pathways for secondary school, higher education and beyond. Upcoming counselling events will cover topics such as choosing between our three secondary school diplomas (Swiss Maturity, French Baccalaureate and International Baccalaureate), selecting courses for IB students, and preparing for the SAT (a standardised test commonly used in the United States), as well as university fairs and Champittet’s Career Day. Mark your calendars and don’t miss out!
