School may have been out for summer, but our facilities and operations team was hard at work giving Collège Champittet a summer makeover – just in time for the return to class!
With the new school year in full swing, our students are already enjoying the fantastic results of our latest campus renovations. Our crowning achievement is certainly The Village, our new Early Years Centre. Marking our first major campus development in 16 years, The Village has been designed to nurture the growth of our students aged 3 to 6, providing a safe and stimulating space for play-based learning.
However, it’s not only our youngest learners who are enjoying an upgrade in their environment. We have also modernised 10 secondary classrooms – with plans underway to renovate 12 more – and we have refreshed our main corridors and toilet facilities. Even our electrical system has received a significant update.
Meanwhile, our boarding students are enjoying the renovations carried out in our boarding house, particularly in some of the bedrooms. Elsewhere on campus, we’ve introduced 50 new covered bike parking spaces, a new dish-washing tunnel for our restaurant, upgraded water pipes for extra comfort, and brand-new photocopiers – all welcome additions to enhance our students’ living and learning environment.
We are delighted with our school renovations so far, and further improvements are coming down the road. In addition to modernising our remaining secondary classrooms, we will soon be bringing solar panels to The Village – all the better to reduce our carbon footprint while setting an example for our learners with renewable energy!
Congratulations to our facilities and operations teams on achieving these spectacular results!
