Compass International School Doha is delighted to announce the appointment of Ann Djedid as the Head of Campus, Themaid.

Mrs Djedid brings over 30 years of experience to the role, of which 13 have been at Compass International School Doha, including six years as Head of Campus at Rayyan, four years as Head of International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and three years as Head of English. Mrs Djedid is the longest serving member of staff at Compass International School Doha and has been instrumental in the success of the school, from being part of the original start-up team to the expansion to four campuses. Since joining Compass International School Doha, Mrs Djedid has completed International Leadership and Management Programmes at Middle and Senior Leadership Level and the Nord Anglia Education Senior Leadership Programme.

Mrs Djedid will start her new position over the summer of 2019 in anticipation of the 2019/20 academic year.

Mrs Djedid, Head of Campus, Themaid said: “I am delighted to be the Head of Campus at Themaid. With our new campus, comes more opportunities to transform learning for our students in state-of-the-art facilities. Our new campus builds on twelve years of academic excellence and community spirit in Qatar and I look forward to bringing our warm, welcoming Compass Community to our new campus.”

To continue the Compass community spirit at Rayyan Campus, Peter Anderton has been appointed the interim Head of Campus, Rayyan. Mr Anderton joined Compass international School Doha as a Teacher and Head of English in 2017 and was promoted to Deputy Head of Campus, Rayyan in October 2018. Mr Anderton has 12 years teaching experience, of which ten have been as a leader. Mr Anderton taught in England and Brunei before Qatar and was a pastoral and curriculum leader for English and IPC in each of these schools.

Mr Anderton, Head of Campus, Rayyan said: “I am delighted to be given the opportunity to lead the excellent teaching team and learning experience at Rayyan. I look forward to welcoming new and current students to the Rayyan community in the new academic year.”

Compass International School Doha congratulates Mrs Djedid and Mr Anderton on their new roles on behalf of the students, parents and team.

Themaid Campus is Compass International School Doha’s fourth campus in Qatar, with the other three campuses based at Madinat Khalifa, Gharaffa and Rayyan. Themaid Campus, near to Education City and Mall of Qatar, is the largest campus. The new state-of-the-art campus will offer students an exceptional learning environment from its well-equipped science laboratories and theatre to a 25-metre swimming pool and specialist areas for design, technology and music.

Themaid Campus is truly a school for the whole family, offering education for children in Early Years through to Year 10 for academic year 2019/20 including the International Primary Curriculum, English National Curriculum and International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). Future years will accommodate A-Levels as well as vocational programmes (BTEC).
