4MD

It was a very exciting morning in 4MD as we hosted an Exit Point for our IPC unit on Bright Sparks. Over the last 4 weeks, the children have been learning about and investigating electricity, circuits, magnets, conductors and insulators. Their final project for this unit was to create a miniature room with a working electrical component. The children’s creativity shone through and they loved working in teams to design and create a room. In the Exit Point, the children confidentially showcased their creations and explained to their parents what they had learned. They answered any questions posed to them and enthusiastically described their designs to their parents. It was an engaging unit, producing a class full of ‘bright sparks’ at the end.

4JMK

Today, 4JMK thoroughly enjoyed showcasing their IPC Exit Point end products to their parents. The children designed and created rooms as part of their Bright Sparks topic and used their knowledge of electricity to design and implement a circuit with a bulb to light up their rooms. Throughout the topic, the children have been learning how to make an electrical circuit, which materials allow electricity to pass through them, what happens when we change a circuit, about magnetism and electricity, and how to keep safe around electricity. We now have some budding electricians in the making in our class!

4SB

As part of our ‘Bright Sparks’ topic 4SB designed and made a miniature  room with a lighting system. After carefully drawing up plans and choosing the materials, each group worked hard to create their own unique room. The Natasha and Zara’s Star Animals team made a great bedroom complete with bunk bed and matching carpet, pillows and bed covers. The Electrons (Jaiveer, Thomas, Rihito and Riley) very cleverly disguised their lighting system in a living room with a sofa, TV and computer. They also added on a bathroom. The Geometry Dash 2.0 group (Kaydon and James) made a super bedroom using a variety of recycled materials and the Royal Skeletons (Pratham, Hector, Harry and Mayank) definitely needed their double battery lighting system to light up their living room! Giulia, Kara, Juliette and Kayra’s Electric Animal Girls made two beautifully decorated rooms, some possible future interior decorators in this group! The Lightning Squad (Adam, Mikail, Lucas and Zein) showed some great attention to detail with all the little  features they added to their living room and Tara, Louise and Zaina’s Rainbow Flower Girls made a house complete with closing doors and a swing-TV! Well done to 4SB for all their hard work.

4CJ

Class 4CJ wowed their parents on the morning of Friday the 22nd September. They enthusiastically presented their miniature bedrooms, demonstrating their knowledge of circuits, as well as their ability to work together and resolve differences. The children thoroughly enjoyed planning and creating their wonderful rooms.
