ACSIS Under 12s Division 2 Netball vs AIS and TTS ACSIS Division 2 Netball: a learning curve for our U12 team

Playing in ACSIS Division 2 Netball has been a steep learning curve for the U12 team. There have been some difficult games but I am pleased to say that the final two games of the season were much more competitive.

AIS 4 arrived at DCIS having had a similar season to ourselves and were lying in 7th place in the division. We were in 8th. The match got off to tremendous start for DCIS. We had 4 shots and scored all 4. Sadly, this spurred AIS into action and they had pulled ahead by the end of the third quarter. The score ended 10-6 but all agreed it was a close and exciting game.

TTS were the final opponents of the season. They were lying 3rd in the division, so were a daunting prospect. With nothing to lose the girls rallied and battled tremendously well. Chiara, Maycee and Sophie were superb in defense and managed to break down the attacking opportunities of TTS. The DCIS attack had several attempts at scoring and scored one time. The final score was 8-1 to TTS. More importantly, however, the team came off the netball court encouraged, happy and confident in their ability again.
